Reader question - How to Have An Open Conversation During Separation

#14 – How to have an open conversation during separation (and other questions)

Today we're answering three reader-submitted questions:

  • Question #1 - How do you have an open and honest conversation with your wife while you're separated?
  • Question #2 - If you were the one to have an affair, do you do anything different to try and get your wife back?
  • Question #3 - If your wife starts warming up to you AFTER you've stopped saying 'I love you', should you start trying to be affectionate again?

Since each of these questions were submitted by a Husband Help Haven subscriber, you'll be hearing the real problems other men are having in their marriage, as well as the advice I give in each situation.

With much manly love,
 - Stephen

  1. Yes like the new format please continue
An idea may be to include a success story in each podcast
    As it gives hope etc
    Cheers

  2. I found this helpful. Two of the questions directly relate to my situation. They were questions I would ask. Your responses were helpful. It was also reassuring that other men face the same obstacles & have the questions as myself.
    Thank you!

I’m listening to everything. I’m on my knees, praying every night. I’m making strides to never be the man I was and pushing forward to being the man I want to be. My wife has left the marriage and does not want reconciliation at all. She has gone completely no contact. I am her apparent abuser. I am willing to admit. I was not always perfect. But she is already becoming involved with other men, who apparently were abusive to her in the past. What the heck do I do? I want to fight for my marriage. What happened to the wife that loved me 6 months ago?
    I need help. And prayer.

Definite winner. Can’t thank you enough. Crazy to think we all actually know what we need to do but just get lazy without even realizing it. I know it’s not your main focus but it’s become obvious to me that if I’d been leading my wife on God’s path I wouldn’t be in this situation now. Thanking him for your work. It’s been very helpful. Not easy but helpful. Much manly love and prayers!
